  Profile: Wu Jiang, Male, Documentary Director, has been engaged in Documentary creation for 20 years, and has served as the International Documentary judge of China (Qinghai) World Mountain Documentary Festival.   Profile: She graduated from Shanghai Jiao Tong University with a Ph. D. in statistics from the State University of New York, where She worked on Wall Street as a quantitative financial analyst, CFA certified financial analyst, and became an independent writer and director in 2013. Question 1:  “A Precious Heart” (你最珍贵) is a film about students in a Chinese university and the main character overcoming his own personal shortcomings so he can graduate and do something useful for society. What inspired this story? Answer: This film was inspired by an interview. I was then making a TV series about finance. I interviewed a very famous fund company in Beijing. By chance, I learned that this fund company was employing three interns. However, the applicants were over one thousand and they all came from the top three universities in Beijing. Interview of Guo Jin, the director of “Spring Festival in the Ancient Village”

  Director's Profile:  Guo Jin, born in 1962, learned music since childhood. He served as the director of operations of the China National Traditional Orchestra and the Working Committee of Typecast Actors of the China Film Association. Over the years, he has directed a few large-scale variety shows, stage plays and tourism performances. He planned to film the five-episode documentary “Exceed Samsara” starting from 2013 and completed the filming in 2016. The film was shortlisted in the semi-final section of the 2017 Guangzhou International Documentary Festival, China. The 100-episode documentary “Operas in China” planned since 2017 is being filmed. The documentary “Spring Festival in the Ancient Village” planned since 2018 has been put on record by the China Film Administration and is being submitted for approval.
